'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden major achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
